When Billy returned, he was carrying a tray of food from the hotel's restaurant. He hadn't asked if Goodnight had eaten in their brief exchange after his bath, but he figured it was safe to assume that he hadn't; and if he had, Billy had been sure to grab food that would keep overnight.

He set the tray on the draw sink, looking over at Goodnight lounging on the bed in his shirt and underpants and socks. Billy was impressed that he didn't flush.

"Are you going to stay on that side of the bed?"
