The hand on his thigh was warm and bold and familiar, and the intention so clear it made Goodnight freeze a moment. He looked into Billy's face, hopeful and uncertain and wanting in the same moment. He touched Billy's cheek; the gesture seemed entirely insufficient but it was all the courage he could muster.
