"Who said anything about law abiding?" Billy asked, plucking the pamphlet out of Goodnight's fingers. He leaned back in his chair, content to ignore his work for the moment in favor of resting his foot against the edge of Goodnight's seat.

"Besides," he said, and let himself scowl momentarily at his study materials, "I have to pass this damn test first, before anything else."
